Week of March 26th

This week we are taking the ELA portion of the MCAS on Tuesday and Wednesday. Again, I will not be assigning any ELA homework. Your child should come to school well rested and ready to test!

MCAS

On Tuesday, March 20th we will be taking the long composition part of the ELA MCAS. Be sure your child is well rested, has had a healthy breakfast and is on time for school. There will be a light breakfast served to those who have returned the permission slip that was sent home on Friday.

Holiday Slumber

Please be aware of the following for next Thursday, December 22nd:

• We will be watching the movie Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel. Rated PG (please sign permission slip sent home if you approve)
• Your child may wear their pajamas to school, bring slippers, a stuffed animal and a pillow.
• Your child may bring their own special snack to have during the movie. Please be sure it is peanut and tree nut free.
• We will also have a chapter book swap. If you would like your child to participate, they can bring in a wrapped chapter book they would like to swap. The book can be new or gently used. Please label the book for a boy, a girl or for either.

Rocket Day

Friday, October 21st is Rocket Day! Please join us at the MSMS field for launching at 9:00 a.m. If you wish to walk with us to the field, meet us in the Memorial School lobby at 8:45. We will have a blast!!!

Change of Venue

There has been a change in the venue for Rocket Day on Friday. We will be walking to and blasting from the Marshall Simonds Middle School across the street.

Rocket Building

I am looking for some more volunteers to help with rocket building. The dates are below. All sessions are from 10:30 - 11:30. Please email me at gonzalez@bpsk12.org if you are able to help.
